Dubai Knowledge Village, launched in October 2003, provides an advanced infrastructure and environment for a variety of organisations to create and disseminate knowledge.

The KV community is today home to 15 international universities, 150 training institutes and numerous learning support entities. These include human resource development centres, professional training institutes, R&D organisations, innovation centres and e-Learning companies. In total over 300 companies operate from the cluster.

In April 2005, KV announced Dubai Knowledge Universities, a new mega campus for international universities. By 2010, this 24.8 million square feet mega-campus will be home to 30 international universities and over 40,000 students. Further initiatives are being planned to enrich and diversify this learning community.
